Marilyn Chambers was born Marilyn Ann Briggs on April 22, 1952, in Westport, Connecticut,
USA. She was catapulted to fame by the 1972 porn movie Behind the Green Door. She also
starred in Insatiable (1980).
Marilyn once was the cover girl on the Ivory Snow soap box, where she posed holding a baby. The company quickly dropped her after they found out she had become a porn movie actress. From 1975 to 1985 she was married to Chuck Traynor who had previously been married to porn star Linda Lovelace. In the 2004 US Presidential election, Marilyn Chambers ran for Vice President on the Personal Choice Party ticket, a quasi-libertarian party. Chambers died April 12, 2009, discovered by her 17 year-old daughter, McKenna Marie Taylor, at her home in Santa Clarita, Calif.
